Later projects and achievements

1950
Becomes an officially MRU registered architect: sworn in on January 25 (n° 2041/8256)

1950-1956
Inauguration of the partially completed The Village on June 17, 1950. The families of Dr Debat's employees move in. The development and embellishment work continue: The Village is completely finished in 1956, shortly before the death of François Débat. In 1970, it was registered in the inventory of Heritage Sites at the request of Dr. Jacques Debat, his son.

As an architect MRU, he restores or builds houses in the style of "La Rurale française" in Saint-Cloud and the surrounding area (Garches, Sèvres, Suresnes, Sevran, Saint-Ouen l'Aumône...)

In Saint-Cloud, he erects memorial roadside crosses.

In Paris, he becomes involved in commercial or industrial premises, carrying out important transformation work. One such project is for one of the floors of a building on Avenue de l'Opéra which he turns into studios. He converts one of the two workshops of the sculptor Henri Bouchard into a house on rue de l'Yvette in the 16th arrondissement).

In addition to these commissions, René Crevel designs a project for the construction of water towers.

In Forges-les-Eaux, Normandy, he is involved in several projects. He designs the transformation of the Casino into an international cultural center for his friend Jacques Hébertot. (The project, which has become too expensive, will be abandoned in 1959). Works for the Société immobilière de la Ville, building houses and renovation work in the hotels it manages.

As a decorator, René Crevel continues seeking new inspiration, reinventing himself, through the 1940s until the 1950s, such as porcelain plate designs for Limoges; carpet and wallpaper designs; wooden and rattan furniture sets.
As a painter, watercolour is now his main mode of expression. Each summer, he produces countless landscapes when he returns to Fécamp and the Normandy coast; to Brittany or the Auvergne. He also discovers new horizons; in the South of France on the Mediterranean coast, and inland in the hinterland of NIce; abroad, in the Austrian Tyrol, in Northern Italy and in Tuscany. He also produces numerous watercolours in and around Saint-Cloud and in 1956, participates in an exhibition of painting of Saint-Cloud and its surroundings, as seen by artists of the past and present. It is organized by the Association Les Amis de Saint-Cloud, of which he is now the Vice President (Cultural and Artistic Center, opening on October 20).

He also exhibits some watercolors at the Salon d'Art de Saint-Cloud, of which he was the founder, and is still the main organizer (opening on December 15).

As President of the Société des Artistes St Cloud, he devotes himself, especially in the following years, to promoting the artists of Saint-Cloud.

1957-1959
In Paris he is involved in an important project to extend in area and height the offices of the magazine L'Action Automobile, on avenue d'Iéna. (Building permit issued at the end of 1959. Project not realized).

Builds many individual houses, most of them based on the model of "French rural houses", but some, by contrast, are very modernist.

1960-1963
Gradually relinquishes his responsibilities in various cultural associations in Saint-Cloud.

Sells his property to the S.E.R.D.I. (Société d'Études de réalisation et de documentation immobilière). After the sale, he leaves Saint-Cloud for good.
